Right to Know

In February of 2008, the State of Pennsylvania passed a Right-to-Know law. The law requires every community to create an open records officer and establish procedures when an individual makes a request for public information.

Before making an official request we encourage you to explore our website for a variety of publicly available information. The Hempfield Municipal Code, which includes all legislation passed by the Municipality over the years, is available by visiting our Ordinances page. Hempfield Township Meeting Agendas and Minutes are also available online.

All requests must be submitted through the Township's Online Service Center.  You can do this by clicking the link below.  Then you will need to click on the box for OPEN RECORDS & LETTER REQUESTS.  You will need to create an account before you submit your request.  This will be the same way you will receive your requested records.  Please contact us at hempfield@hempfieldtwp.org with any questions.

Requests for information cannot be made anonymously. The Municipality will have up to 5 business days to provide you with the information. All communications and returned information will be done through our online service center, unless requesting physical copies.
