Keystone Collections Group, Hempfield’s tax collector for earned income, business privilege and local services taxes, is hard at work on improvements to make that wish a reality. Keystone proudly launched its new INTERNET tax filing system for Hempfield individuals on January 25. Keystone’s e-File system offers a secure, user-friendly interface to fill and pay your taxes on-line. Keystone’s website, www.keystonecollects.com, provides various downloadable tax forms and an easy link to e-File. Simply click the e-File logo, and you can start the process of filing your 2010 return, paying your taxes or obtaining your refund. This new system completely walks the taxpayer through the process, including creating a personal and secure log-in. Taxpayers may e-File as individuals or create a combined return with his or her spouse, adding the necessary supporting document information from W-2s and tax schedules. Tax preparers may also use the system to assist their Hempfield resident clients. Upon completion of the process, each filer receives a confirmation message informing the taxpayer that her/she is finished and his/her Tax Return has been e-Filed. “We are confident that this new service will be a huge help to a great number of people in Hempfield,” said David Kratzenberg, who oversees Information Technology at Keystone. “We are continually looking for ways to improve our level of service to taxpayers, and e-File is a giant leap in that direction.” Also, please be reminded about filing your 2009 Earned Income Tax
Return. If you did not receive a tax return in the mail from Keystone
Collections, please contact the office. As always, taxpayers remain
welcome to file by mail or in person at Keystone’s corporate
