Walk For Your
Health Club
(Walkers Wanted – All Ages Welcome)
Do you enjoy a healthy lifestyle? Is walking more than just a way of getting from one place to another?
If so, stop in to the Hempfield Township Athletic Complex and sign up for the Walk For Your Health Club.
One lap around the indoor two lane track equals approximately ¼ mile.
Building will be open as early as 8:00 am.

Directions to Hempfield Township Athletic Complex
From PA Turnpike
- Pa Turnpike to Exit 8 – New Stanton.
- Stay in left lane to Route 119 North (1/2 Mile) to Toll 66 North.
- Follow Toll 66 to exit 9 (Harrison City/Greensburg).
- At the end of the ramp make a right on to 66 toward Greensburg.
- Go approximately, 1/2 mile, make a left at the Fire Department.(There is
a sign for Hempfield Park).
- Take the first right onto Forbes Road, go up steep hill.
- Park is on the right.
- Use main entrance parking lot near the flagpole or parking lots near
tennis courts and sports field complex.
From Toll 66 - Delmont
- Follow Toll 66 to exit 9 (Harrison City/Greensburg).
- At the end of the ramp, make a left on to 66 toward Greensburg.
- Go approximately, 1/2 mile, make a left at the Fire Department.(There is
a sign for Hempfield Park).
- Take the first right onto Forbes Road, go up steep hill.
- Park is on the right.

From Downtown Greensburg
- Take Rt. 66 N (Main St.) go thru traffic light at Shop N' Save.
- Continue about 2 miles, turn right just past N. Hempfield Fire
Department onto old Rt.66.
- Take the first right onto Forbes Road, go up steep hill.
- Park is on the right.
- Use main entrance parking lot near the flagpole or parking lots near
tennis courts and sports field complex.
HTAC Facilities
The Hempfield Township Athletic Center features a walking track, and three
multi-purpose athletic playing fields. Indoor activities include
basketball, soccer, cheerleading, wiffleball, tennis, conditioning programs, and
more. The facility is even a great place for birthday parties.
Also popular is Zumba Fitness, a fun full body workout to music and song
which lifts your spirits and burns calories at the same time! Learn more

The facility includes a concession stand for customers convenience, serving
Coke products and healthy snacks. The lobby area has a television so that
players can relax with a snack and watch TV between games, or where parents can
wait for their kids to finish playing.
HTAC Rental Fees
Full Court Houly Rentals (no half court rentals)
$ 40/hr. per court Monday thru Friday
$ 45/hr. per court Saturday and Sunday
8 to 12 Hour Day Rentals
$ 400 first court
$ 200 additional court
Birthday Parties
$ 10/child (minimum 10 children) $ 50 deposit required
Use of one full size court, basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs and lobby
area. Catering and decorations not provided.
Open Court Time
$ 2/person (shoot around during non-scheduled activities)
Call in advance for open times. No large groups or teams
GROUPS WISHING TO PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES AT THE HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP ATHLETC
COMPLEX MUST COMPLETE THE HTAC
RENTAL FORM, AND BE FULLY REGISTERED WITH THE HEMPFIELD PARKS AND
RECREATION DEPARTMENT BEFORE ANY UTILIZATION OF ACTIVITIES.
HTAC General Guidelines
- Cancellation of a reservation less than 30 days from reservation will
result in a forfeiture of fees
- Conduct. This is a facility operation for the benefit of the community
patrons. Patrons are expected to join the staff in promoting a pleasant
environment. Patrons must respect the rights of others and are encouraged to
display good sportsmanship when using the facility. The behavior of a Patron
must not disrupt the experience of others.
- Food, Beverages, Tobacco, Illegal Substances, are prohibited. No food or
glass beverages are permitted anywhere in the facility. Smoking or tobacco
is prohibited.
- Clothing/Shoes. Patrons must wear shirts, shorts, pants and athletic
shoes in all areas of the Facility.
- Age Restrictions. The following general age restrictions apply: Ages 14
and under must be directly supervised by an adult at all times unless they
are participating in a facility-sponsored program or activity.
- Inclement Weather. Hempfield Parks and Rec. will make every attempt to
keep gyms open during times of inclement weather; however, the facility will
be closed if conditions are determined to be a threat to patrons.
- No bicycles, skateboards, or in-line skates are permitted inside the
facility.
- All accidents should be reported to the staff on duty. First-aid
supplies (ice, band-aids, gauze, gloves) are available.
- Disciplinary Policy. The authority to enforce the Rules and Regulations
of the building is vested in its staff personnel. All problems should be
reported immediately to the manager on duty. Violations of the Rules and
Regulations will not be tolerated. Hempfield Rec. staff reserves the right
to take disciplinary action.
