Zumba® Fitness (Ages 12 and up)

Wake Up with Zumba® (Ages 18 and up)

Spend your mornings with the Dance Amor Fitness group. Zumba is a great way to start your day. Easy to follow dance instructions will help to energize you and is a fun way to get your daily exercise.

Yoga (Ages 18 thru Senior Citizens)

Yoga is a completely systematized, yet simple, science of physical conditioning for more healthful living. The stretches and postures practiced in yoga are a natural way to reduce stress and tension, and gain strength and flexibility. Please bring exercise mat, beach towel or throw rug to each class.

Driver Theory Education (Ages 15 and up)

This course will instruct students on how to be a responsible, defensive driver as well as knowledge of PA regulations. The class instructor uses a variety of techniques to train drivers to adjust to today’s driving situations. Students will be issued a “driver education certificate” which is acceptable for insurance discount at the completion of the course. The course is offered through Sherid’s Driving School, a family owned business established in 1961. If you give them the keys to the car, give them the time to use them wisely. Private behind the wheel instructions available separate from this class.

Ballroom Dancing (Ages 15 & up)

Develop confidence and style learning the basics, skills, and style steps in Ballroom and Social Dancing. Learn dances such as: East Coast Swing; Waltz; Foxtrot; Rumba; Cha Cha Cha; Polka; Tango; West Coast Swing; Hustle; Jitterbug; and a couple Party Line Dances. Classes taught by the area’s Premiere Professional Ballroom Dance couple, David and Amy Vint. Couples only.

One Hour Workout (Ages 15 & up)

This workout welcomes women/men of all levels of fitness and will provide a total body workout each class. The workout will combine cardio, circuit training, body sculpting (weights optional) and core strengthening. This will be a fun workout designed to help you reach your fitness goals. Bring your own weights and mat.

Jazzercise (Ages 18 & up)

When you love your workout, results come easy. That’s why Jazzercise blends aerobics, yoga,
Pilates, and kickboxing movements into fun dance routines set to fresh new music. All fitness

Computer Basics (Ages 15 & up) Seniors are welcomed

This class is for those with no previous computer experience or little computer experience. Learn basic computer skills to help you get more use from your home PC. Students will use Microsoft Windows XP and Word XP to practice the skills learned.

Advanced Computers (Ages 15 & up) Seniors are welcomed

This class is for those that have completed a previous Hempfield Parks and Recreation Computer Class or have basic computer skills. Students will enhance their computer skills with a focus on using the internet and e-mail tools. Subjects covered will include protecting your computer from viruses and spy ware, sending and receiving e-mail and attachments, and the explanation of the basic prompts and messages you receive from your computer. Familiarity with keyboarding, using a mouse, and Windows are required.
