Mission Statement

To enrich the lives of all citizens within the boundaries of Hempfield Township by providing the opportunity to make constructive use of leisure time, contributing to good health, human happiness and physical and mental well-being. Recreational opportunities and park experiences will be provided for year round and will be accessible to everyone, enhancing the quality of life and self esteem of all Hempfield residents regardless of age, sex, race or income.

Residents of Adamsburg, Hunker, Manor, New Stanton, and Youngwood are Borough Residents in the Hempfield Area School District.

Mail-in

Hempfield Parks & Recreation, 1132 Woodward Drive, Suite B, Greensburg, PA 15601. Early mail is held until Monday, March 15, and is processed daily as soon as possible.

Walk-in

Hempfield Parks & Recreation is located in the Hempfield Township Municipal Building (off Route 136, near Fort Allen). Resident registration begins Monday, March 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Non-resident registration begins Monday, March 22.

Early Birds.......get in the class!

At some point we must decide whether to cancel a program due to lack of enrollment. Registering at the last minute may mean that the program you want has already been cancelled. Please register promptly. Must be pre-registered. NO registrations will be accepted by instructors at the class, chaperone of special event/field trip, or coaches of our sports.

Say Cheese!

For program promotion purposes, photographs may be taken of participants from time to time. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please notify the photographer and/or class instructor.

Typos, Human Error, We Goofed!

Occasionally there may be an error in days, times, registration requirements or fees in the brochure. When such errors occur, our staff will do everything possible to correct the situation promptly, We thank you for your patience and understanding when these situations arise.
