Westmoreland County Blind Association Offers Document Destruction

Did you realize that the Westmoreland County Blind Association provides secure and confidential services to state agencies, attorneys, medical facilities, accounting firms, and human service agencies? The Blind Association offers pick-up service, prompt destruction, low rates, secured carts, confidentiality, x-ray disposal, and peace of mind knowing your papers are destroyed in the proper manner. Curbside Single Stream Recycling

Interstate Waste provides Hempfield residents with single stream recycling right at your curb. You are able to recycle your newsprint, flattened cardboard, phone books, chipboard, magazines, catalogs, office paper, junk mail, plastics #1 through #7, glass bottles and jars, and aluminum/bi-metal cans all in your recycling bin on your regular recycling pick-up day.

Everytime you take your recyclables to the curb or your paper to the drop-off bins, remember that your recycling efforts benefit everyone!

Please note that all Hempfield Volunteer Fire Department locations are for PAPER RECYCLING ONLY and NOT SINGLE STREAM.

Single Stream Recycling Dumpster

Interstate Waste has a Single Stream drop off dumpster located at the Municipal Building on Woodward Drive.

Acceptable materials include: Newspaper, catalogs, magazines, junk mail and office paper; corrugated cardboard (flattened); chipboard (cereal boxes, etc.), aluminum and bi-metal cans; plastics #1 - #7 (please note that the stickers on the drop-off bins specify #1 & #2 only; however, #3 - #7 are also acceptable).

Unacceptable materials include: Household trash, glass, styrofoam, and items contaminated by food (pizza boxes, etc.).

Hempfield Township is dedicated to providing its residents more recycling opportunities, and to make its communities cleaner and healthier. Every time you take your recyclables to the curb or to the Single Stream drop-off bin, remember that your recycling efforts benefit everyone!
