Demolition Programs

Hempfield Township has been working in conjunction with the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Westmoreland to demolish unoccupied structures throughout the Township.

Annually there is a limited amount of funding available. Should the structures comply with all of the Authority and the Township’s requirements, they can be added to a list for possible demolition. Hempfield Township will continue to work with residents and the Redevelopment Authority to demolish 2 to 4 structures per year.
