Zoning Hearing Board

About the Board

The Hempfield Township Zoning Hearing Board is a quasi-judicial board that conducts formal hearings to determine whether or not to grant requested variances to the township’s Zoning Code. Residents requesting variances must apply at the Township Building and present their case in front of this Board. Their terms are five years and members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

Public Meetings

All Zoning Hearing Board Meeting begin at 6:00 pm, unless otherwise advertised. The Board meets once a month, only if there is a case to heard. Regular meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month.

Agendas & Minutes

Agendas are available by noon of the day of the meetings. Agendas can be modified prior to the start of the meeting.  Minutes are available following approval at the next scheduled meeting.
